The Creative Curriculum for Preschool

Overview

The Creative Curriculum is a child-centered research-based curriculum where students are active participants in their learning. The curriculum supports each child's development through exploration with a well-organized and engaging learning environment. Teachers and support staff extend and scaffold each child's individual development by providing guidance, intentional learning experiences, and positive social interactions.

Assessment

Classroom teachers document and assess each child's performance in the classroom using the online assessment tool Teaching Strategies GOLD. A family report is generated two times throughout the school year and provided to families. The report levels teacher observations of student performance on objectives aligned with New Jersey State Standards.
