Preschool Age 3

Chrissy Drewes

I have been teaching Preschool since 2009 and there is no place I would rather be! My personal goal is to provide a warm and nurturing environment where all of my students feel comfortable and encouraged to meet their full potential.

Christina Hackney

My personal philosophy is that all students are unique individuals that deserve a welcoming and encouraging educational environment that allows them to grow in all areas, academically, emotionally, socially and physically.

Nicole Necowitz

It is my objective to build an atmosphere to promote a safe, inclusive environment that embraces differences and provides varied experiences where all students can meet their full potential. My role as a Preschool teacher is to create an environment where students can feel trust, be creative, use their imagination, grow, and learn, while having fun. I want the children to want to come to school to learn.

Christina Paulsen

My personal philosophy to education is as follows: I strive to teach the whole student, academically and social-emotionally, in a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment. I want each and every one of my students to feel seen, valued and loved. I believe in my students; I believe that each child is capable of learning, and I believe that each child comes to school with something special to offer. At the end of each day, I teach to serve as an advocate, to love and care for my students, and to inspire our children to believe in themselves.

Brittney Walton

It is my belief that all children grow, learn, and bloom at their own individual pace. I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment, filled with praise and positivity, for our youngest learners to thrive in.

Preschool Age 4

Brooke Barbara

My role as a preschool teacher is to foster the foundation of a lifelong love of learning by addressing the needs of the whole child using developmentally appropriate practices. It begins by embracing and respecting the diversity that each child and family brings to our classroom community.

Kristin Egan

My philosophy on teaching Early Childhood Education is that children become creative thinkers through play-based learning while applying their knowledge and background outside the classroom.

Jon Gerwald

My philosophy for teaching is to make all children feel safe, valued, and loved. I believe in an enriching environment that provides a safe and loving climate for children to explore and learn.

Dori Millisky

I believe that we can all learn from each other. We all have strengths and challenges, and by working together we can move mountains.

Angela Otto

In my classroom I strive to create a rich learning environment where students feel a strong sense of community and belonging. A student’s social , emotional , physical and cognitive development are all important to me.

Jennifer Tistan

Children learn through exploration and experiences. As a Pre-k teacher, it is my honor to provide students with a positive, safe, and engaging environment where they feel comfortable taking risks and learn how to show kindness as well as have their own voice to express their needs. Working with families is very important, as together we help their little ones meet their highest potential and begin their love of school. Being a Pre-k teacher is a gift.

Preschool Special Education

Meghan DiGiovanni

My philosophy of early childhood education is centered on learning through play, differentiating across learners, maintaining a safe environment, collaborating with school personnel and communicating with parents.

Kelley Doak

My objective is to provide all students with individualized instruction while facilitating an inclusive environment that promotes language, academic and social-emotional growth. I believe in positive reinforcement and establishing a strong home/school connection.

Amanda Kowal

My name is Amanda Kowal. This is my nineteenth year teaching preschool here at GTECC. My philosophy is that every child has the ability to learn. I love celebrating the successes of my students and watching them grow each year.

Heather Leimberg

My philosophy of teaching is to create an environment that allows for child engagement and exploration. I believe that the most significant learning occurs in opportunities that are both meaningful and relatable. Creating a community in the early childhood classroom is the beginning for setting a child up for an amazing educational journey. Parents are their child's first teacher and an integral part of their education journey.

Meghan Pfizenmayer

I hold education to be of immense value and importance for every child. Special education is the education that includes children having needs that extend beyond the general scope of a typically developing peer. While all the needs of each student in special education differ, the individual child deserves a valuable and well-delivered education that is focused on their immediate and future needs. My goal as a teacher is to be able to provide that type of instruction every single day in my classroom.

Amanda Phillips

My philosophy of teaching is that every child is unique and special and should all be given the opportunity to grow as well as thrive emotionally, socially, physically, as well as mentally.

My goal for each child within my classroom/school walls is to provide an atmosphere where they feel nurtured, supported, and loved. To provide the tools necessary to reach their full potential, both within and out of school.

Cari Mumbower

I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. As an educator, I want my children to accept themselves for who they are, and I want them to embrace the difference in others.

Preschool Coaches

Lauren Krupa

My philosophy is that preschool provides a safe, developmentally appropriate, nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth, as well as a positive self-image and a love of learning.

As the school counselor and Preschool Intervention Referral Specialist (PIRS), I have been providing developmentally appropriate social emotional learning opportunities and support for the students here at Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center for 13 years.

Kimberly Longfellow

My teaching career started in Washington Township in 1983. I have taught at the High School, Middle School, Kindergarten, and Preschool level in both Special Education and General Education. Children grow and develop at their own pace and in their own time. I am always in awe of how children can reach for the stars and attain the impossible. When we gently guide and challenge children the stars can be reached and shine brightly.
